The B&R 2DI426.6 Digital Input Module, part of the B&R System 2010, was manufactured in 2010 by B&R Automation for diverse industrial automation tasks. It features 32 digital inputs organized into eight groups of four, with electrical isolation enhancing safety and reducing interference. The module supports sink and source wiring configurations, operates at a nominal voltage of 24 VDC (maximum 30 VDC), and has a 4 kΩ input resistance. It offers three switching thresholds—low (<5 V), mid-range (5 to 15 V), and high (>15 V)—for precise signal control. Each input draws about 6 mA at nominal voltage. The module ensures reliability with optocouplers for isolation between inputs and the PCC, and between groups, but not within groups. It has a response time as fast as one millisecond and can handle peak voltages up to 500 volts in 50-microsecond intervals. Its maximum power consumption is 4 watts.
