The B&R Automation 2EX301.5 Expansion Slave Module, part of the System 2010 lineup, enhances scalability and efficiency in industrial automation by segmenting the I/O bus. Released in 2010, it integrates seamlessly with expansion master modules, facilitating communication with other I/O components. The module connects via an interface using 1-meter (0G0010.00-090) and 2-meter (0G0012.00-090) expansion cables. It efficiently transmits data over long distances while consuming a maximum of just 3 W, promoting energy savings. Measuring 285 mm in height, 40 mm in width, and 185 mm in depth, the compact design allows easy integration into existing systems. It uses a BP202 base plate for stable installation and operation. BCD number dialing manages addressing, setting module addresses in tens, ensuring clear segment separation and interference-free operation, with a seven-segment display for easy address identification.
