The 3AT450.6 I/O module by B & R Automation is designed for precise resistance measurement using four Pt100 sensor inputs. It incorporates diagnostic status indicators to monitor converter operations and measurement timing. The module consumes a total of 4.0 W, operating at 3.0 W with 24 VDC and 1.0 W at 5 VDC. While channels lack inter-channel isolation, the module provides electrical isolation between the PLC and its channels and complies with CE, UKCA, and cULus (E115267) standards. Featuring a digital converter with 13,500 steps resolution, it offers accuracy of ~0.1% at 20°C, supporting four-wire connections. Conversion times range from 85 ms to 100 ms, with temperature detection from -50°C to +450°C. It tolerates storage conditions from -25°C to +70°C and operates between -25°C to +60°C, maintaining reliable performance at 5 to 95% relative humidity. The module offers IP20 protection against solid particles larger than one millimeter, as per EN60529 standards.
