The 3BP150.4, developed by B & R Automation, is a high-density automation chassis designed for integrating diverse industrial systems and I/O modules. Its compact dimensions, 165 x 600 x 23mm, accommodate 15 slots—13 of which are compatible modules for bridging legacy signals to modern networks. Certified with C-UL-US safety standards, it is suitable for use in the United States and Canada. The chassis is robust, operating between -20°C to +70°C, making it ideal for harsh environments. It includes a 13-slot main backplane for control and communication modules, an additional 13-slot expansion for I/O modules, and features such as hot-swappable modules, quick-release spring terminals, and efficient airflow management. Mountable on DIN rail or panels, it also offers a battery compartment for backup power. The 3BP150.4 effectively integrates legacy and modern systems, unifying previously incompatible interfaces within monitoring and control applications.
