The 3BP155.4 backplane, produced by B & R Automation, offers a compact and robust solution for consolidating legacy hardware into a centralized control platform. With a 165 x 240 x 23mm metal chassis, it accommodates six slots for B&R system or I/O modules, supported by an integrated battery backup. Its design ensures durability against shock, vibration, moisture, dust, and gases based on NEMA standards, while enabling simplified wiring adjustments through removable terminal blocks. Accommodating analog, discrete, serial, motion, and bus modules, it facilitates the integration of sensors, pumps, and human interfaces. An extended temperature range of -20°C to +70°C and onboard fusing enhances reliability in harsh environments. The C-UL-US certification allows deployment without additional inspections in the US and Canada. This backplane optimizes space usage, ensuring quick module changes and easy installation, and ultimately enhances data visibility and precise control across industrial applications.
