The 3DI695.6 I/O module, produced by B & R Automation, is designed to handle up to 32 digital inputs split into two isolated groups operating at 120 to 230 VAC. Each channel includes a status indicator for monitoring and diagnostics. The module consumes 1.5 W internally and 4 W externally. It features isolation between channels and PLCs, although within one group, channels are not isolated from each other. It supports 50 to 60 Hz frequencies and offers a sub-50 ms response time due to its input filter. The unit has IP20 protection (EN60529) and performs reliably within -25°C to +70°C and 5% to 95% humidity. Installation requires a separate TB170 terminal block, with options like 10-pin spring clamp, screw clamp, or push-in types available. The module carries UKCA/CE/E115267 certification, and its single-width System 2005 format allows usage as an expansion or base unit.
