The B&R Automation 3IF779.9 module enhances industrial automation data communication by providing three key interfaces: RS485/RS422, CAN-Bus, and X2X Link Master. The RS485/RS422 interface features a 9-pin DSUB connector with a maximum range of 1200 meters and a data rate of up to 115.2 kbit/s. The CAN-Bus interface includes a 4-pin connector capable of reaching 1000 meters. This device also features status LEDs for monitoring data transfer and maintains isolation between interfaces and the PLC, minimizing faults. It operates with a total power consumption of 2.51 W, drawing 0.77 W at 3.3 VDC and 1.74 W at 5 VDC.
