The 3ME953.90-1 memory module from B & R Automation is designed to enhance System 2005 PLC applications by providing substantial storage in a compact form. Featuring 512KB of battery-backed SRAM and 1MB of EPROM, it suits space-constrained environments and easily slots into any System 2005 PLC base or rack for quick memory expansion. It supports the PCC operating system for high-performance machine control tasks. Installation is straightforward, with a sliding mechanism and locking tab for securing the module. The unified diagnostics interface allows for immediate access to module status and adjustments without a laptop. The SRAM section, protected by battery backup for up to 30 days, secures register data and instructions during power losses, while the EPROM stores the PCC OS firmware and user application code. This module facilitates seamless data management, supporting both firmware updates and secure data storage, ensuring reliable long-term operation during intensive machine processes.
