The 3NC150.6 I/O module from B & R Automation is designed for versatile industrial control applications, featuring two counter channels and two analog outputs. It supports multiple evaluation modes (1x, 2x, and 4x), accessible through nine-pin DSUB connectors, and configurable as incremental or up/down counters via software. The module operates with a total power requirement of 5.0 W, distributed between 1.5 W from a 5 VDC source and 3.5 W from a 24 VDC source. It offers electrical isolation between outputs and encoders/PLC, and accommodates symmetrical/asymmetrical encoder inputs with a maximum frequency of 100 kHz. The analog outputs have a ~10 V range, 12-bit resolution, and a conversion time of 35 microseconds, maintaining 0.5% accuracy under short-circuit conditions. Certified to CE and cULus standards (E115267), it withstands temperatures from 0°C to 60°C and relative humidity from 5% to 95%, with storage capability between -25°C and +70°C.
