The 4PP065.IF24-1, produced by B & R Automation, is a versatile interface module designed for seamless integration with B&R's Power Panel PP65 series. It features three robust communication interfaces: RS232 (IF1), which facilitates data transfer up to 115.2 kbps over 15 meters without network capability; RS485/RS422 (IF2), offering network support and data transmission over 500 meters at the same rate as IF1; and a PROFIBUS DP slave interface (IF3), capable of speeds up to 12 Mbit/s over 1000 meters, utilizing an ASIC SPC3 controller. The first two interfaces utilize a shared 9-pin DSUB male connector compatible with 16C550 UART controllers. IF3 uses a 9-pin DSUB female connector. Additionally, the module features LED status indicators and node switches for the PROFIBUS, as well as terminating resistors for enhanced communication reliability. To optimize I/O mapping for IF2 and IF3, Automation Studio software is recommended.
