4VM82-008-4
The 4VM82-008-4, provided by Pacific Scientific, is a low inertia servomotor fitted with permanent Alnico V-7 magnets. Part of the vm series, it yields high-speed, high-frequency reciprocation and effective light-load, high-speed positioning. With terminal resistance of 0.80 Ohms and a constant torque of 9.9 oz.-in, this servomotor operates at a current and voltage rating of 7.4A and 30V respectively. The motor hosts a 0.5 inches diameter shaft making it excellent for dynamic applications with extreme accelerations and decelerations. Notably, it lacks an analog tachometer and forced cooling provisions but is compatible with a dual-channel optical encoder generating square signals. This low spindle inertia and compact motor is lightweight at 3.25 KGS and serves best in environments demanding high volume production, dynamic performance, and superior reliability.
