The Kollmorgen 502-03510-41R1 serves as a CPU module for the PIC 900 system, acting as the nexus between the hardware and software components. Tasked with executing the application program, running system and module diagnostics, and communication via its two RS-232 ports, this module facilitates enriched operability and control. Utilizing an 80C186 CPU running at 8 Megahertz, it offers 256 kilobytes of application memory and 32 kilobytes of user memory. This product is capable of serving up to 6 servo drives at varied update rates. The module features a processor integrated circuit, RAM or EPROM memory for the application program, ROM memory for the operating system, and two serial ports for communication with workstations and optional serial interface devices. It can run diagnostics upon power-on, demonstrated via the diagnostic LED on its front panel. Operating temperatures range from 7 to 55 degrees Celsius.
