The Kollmorgen-manufactured 502-03548-00R3 is a 24V DC, 16-point input module that effectively converts input signals from linked devices to levels the CPU can process. The 'on' signal is normally at 24V DC but could fall anywhere within 14-30V, while the 'off' signal is anything below 5V. It allows for either source or sink wiring arrangements and contains 16 LEDs showcasing each input's logic state. A DIAG LED illuminates briefly during diagnostic tests. Device inputs are linked via screw terminals located on the module's front face. The device has a peak input allowance of 30V DC and 7.5mA. Runtime delays are capped at 1ms both on and off and it carries optical isolation up to 4000V between logic and field. It operates between 7-55°C and can withstand 5-95% non-condensing humidity. It meets CE, cUL, and UL regulations and should be managed by trained operators.
