The product, 502-03638-61, is a high-performance CPU module produced by Kollmorgen and is compatible with PiC900 systems. Installed second from the left in the system rack, this Turbo module operates at a 16MHz frequency. Features include a diagnostic LED and two RS-232 interfaces situated on the front panel. One of these, the PiCPro serial port, facilitates communication with workstations for program downloads to the module's RAM memory. The alternate user port connects with other serial interface devices, such as touch-screens and controllers. The onboard RAM, with a capacity of 256 kilobytes, is segmented into data, expanded data, ladder and executive memory. The module performs diagnostics, battery checks, routine maintenance, program execution, and power-on tests for each module in the rack. It includes a 256-kilobyte application memory and a 32-kilobyte user memory.
