The 502-03640-02 is an I/O module, designed and built by Kollmorgen, featuring a nominal voltage rating of 24 Volts DC and supporting a voltage range of 5 to 32 Volts DC. It has 32 output channels segregated into four groups with 8 solid-state switches each, each group furnished with a fast-acting UL rated metric fuse of 3 Amps/250 volts AC. These groups can either share a single DC supply or use separate ones. The maximum continuous current limit is 0.4 Amps per output and 2 Amps per group. The module's field side is equipped with a 40-pin card edge connector, while protective optical isolation safeguards the logic circuits. Plus, the module features a diagnostic LED and an output channel LED indicator. The power-on diagnostic test turns off the diagnostic LED when successful. The module's peak power dissipation tops at 15.8 Watts, and in case of a scan loss, all outputs automatically default to the OFF state.
