The Kollmorgen 502-03676-22 is a dual-channel serial communication module designed to facilitate asynchronous serial communications with operator interface devices, computers, and other external devices. The unit's diagnostics can be monitored via an onboard LED and its processing capacity stems from an 80C186 processor clocked at 8 MHz. Driven by Dual Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitters (DUARTs) for serial communication, it measures 41 mm x 305 mm x 213 mm and consumes a power of 420 mA at 5 Volts from the logic side. The module's dedicated processor features FIFO buffers to ensure smooth data transfer with up to 1K buffered input and output data. It is built to comply with EN 55011/CISPR 11 emissions standards and exhibits resistance against magnetic fields, electrostatic discharges, electrical transients, and RF electromagnetic fields. It also withstands shock up to 15g/11 msec and vibrations from 10 – 57 Hz at an amplitude of 0.15 mm or 57 – 2000 Hz accelerating at 2g. Operating temperature spans from 7°C to 55°C, while storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C with a non-condensing humidity rating of 5- 95%.
