The 502-03814-60 CPU module is a product from Kollmorgen, a leading producer of industrial motion control items. Designed for the PiC 900 industrial computer range, the unit facilitates a myriad of automation tasks, enabling user-specific applications through customizable hardware and software configurations. The module plays a pivotal role in the interaction between operator interface devices and computer workstations, even allowing for applications without these interface tools. Inside the module is a processing IC that grants comprehensive control. It includes RS232 ports for direct communication with the workstation and a user's serial interface device. The PiCPro port allows program downloads from the workstation into RAM and data exchange, while the user port 2 communicates with an optional serial interface device. The CPU can perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and battery checks while managing communication with the I/O module and user interface device.
