Kollmorgen's 502-03814-60R1 is a CPU module, as part of its advanced industrial PC PiC 900, devised for varying automation applications. It houses a ROM memory that hosts the Giddings & Lewis Operating System (GLOS) and a RAM/EPROM memory for storing data and the application program. This CPU module is equipped with two RS232 ports exclusively designed to maintain communication between the PC and user interfaces. Facilitating comprehensive control, a processor IC is also integrated. Additionally, it's capable of running diagnostic tests and battery checks in the CSM along with routine maintenance. The memory capacity can be expanded up to 1 Megabyte with integration of a pair of RAM ICs, utilized for executive data, memory, and ladder memory. Additional mathematical processing power can be provided through an optional math coprocessor.
