The 502-03817-03, a product of Kollmorgen, constitutes a part of the PiC 900, a highly advanced industrial PC used for varied industrial motion control tasks. As a remote service module (RSM), the 502-03817-03 transforms incoming power into regulated DC electricity at voltages of 5V, 15V, or -15V, which is then delivered to the modules in the expansion rack. Diagnostic LEDs incorporated in the RSM illuminate during every power-up, while an integrated processor in the CPU module runs diagnostic tests on all modules. The device, connected to a power source of 20 to 60 VDC, is built robustly, enabling it to withstand shocks and vibrations to a significant degree. This model functions optimally under humidity conditions ranging from 5% to 95%. With a 3-terminal input connector adhering to the standards set by IEC 529 and DIN VDE 0470, this device is thoroughly standardized.
