The 502-04011-01, a robust 94X Turbo Central Processing Unit (CPU) module, is a product of Kollmorgen, a renowned global manufacturer of efficient motion control devices. This versatile CPU module can function under challenging conditions, functioning optimally with a 110–230 VAC power source. Its primary task is to convert AC power into DC voltage for operation of the I/O modules in the PiC900 rack, with the RS232 interface facilitating communication between these modules. This communication can be further enhanced with an optional ARCNET interface using optical fiber cable, and the unit includes 7 communication LEDs and a DIAG LED to indicate its status. The CPU module, positioned in the second slot of the PiC900 rack, also executes application programs and carries out diagnostic tests while monitoring the battery in the CSM. It operates best at temperatures up to 55 degrees Celsius, and storage temperature can range from -40 to +85 degrees Celsius. The unit's operational speed is 32 MHz, with an installed application memory of 512K.
