The 5A5000.01 interface board, crafted by B&R Automation, is a specialized interface board designed for use with Provit 5000 and 5600 industrial computer series. Featuring dual combined RS232/RS422/RS485 interfaces, the board operates on the 16-byte FIFO principle and is Plug & Play UART 16559 compatible, with automatic mode selection based on electrical connections. It includes a 256 KB SRAM, addressable via PCMCIA socket 2, backed up by a lithium battery. Measuring approximately 1753 mm by 127 mm and weighing under 0.18 kg, it supports CAN2.0B specification with non-maskable interrupt capability and a PCMCIA slot for external cards. Additional features include an Ethernet interface, internal security key, and write protection switch. Suited for industrial environments, the board must be shielded from extremities in temperature, humidity, and condensation. Designed for durability, it offers reliable service life exceeding five years.
