The 5A5001.16, developed by B & R Automation and manufactured by Fujitsu, is a next-generation hard disk designed for integration into B & R's industrial PC units. This hard drive, suitable for automation control systems, offers a storage capacity of 30 GB across over 58 million sectors, each capable of holding 512 bytes of data. It features a 24,200 tracks per inch density and a bit density of 592 kilobytes per inch. Operating at 4,200 RPM and an access time of 7.14 ms, it integrates via an Advanced Technology Attachment (ATA-6) through a fixed adapter card. Notably, the unit should be shielded from vibrations, shocks, and dust. The hard drive has a lifespan of approximately 5 years or 20,000 power-on hours, with a reliability rated at 300,000 hours Mean Time Between Breakdowns. It has a 2 MB cache and a maximum transfer rate of 100 MB/s. Suitable storage temperatures range from -40 to 65°C.
