With a maximum data transfer rate of 1.5 Gbit/s (150 MB/s) and an 8 MB cache, this controller accelerates read/write processes and maintains system responsiveness. The controller’s hardware architecture is built around the SiI 3512 SATA link controller, compliant with Serial ATA 1.0 specifications. It supports 2 hard disks each with 250 GB capacity per hard disk, delivering a combined raw storage potential of 500 GB. Onboard caching is provided by an 8 MB cache, while the device maintains data integrity through S.M.A.R.T. support.
