The B & R Automation 5C2001.21 controller, part of the 5C2 series, is engineered for advanced industrial applications. It performs effectively up to 3000 m altitude and features an in-built fan for demanding environments. Powered by a 486X5 133 MHz processor and co-processor, it is equipped with 32 MB DRAM and 1 MB graphic memory, ensuring efficient handling of tasks. Its 2.1 GB hard disk offers substantial storage, complemented by four versatile serial connections—two electrically isolated and two 16-byte FIFO. The controller functions optimally within a temperature range of 5-50°C for less than 250 operational hours per month, and slightly less when run continuously. Weighing approximately 1.7 kg, it supports vertical installation within a ±45° angle. Operable on a standard 24 V DC power supply, it features award-winning BIOS and a real-time clock. The 5C2001.21 is available for order, with manuals provided separately for user convenience.
