The 5D5501.15, manufactured by B & R Automation, is a sophisticated operator interface tailored for the IPC5000 and IPC5600 industrial controller series. It features a Thin Film Transistor (TFT) display with a Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) backlight, ensuring a lifespan of over 50,000 hours. While it can be directly mounted on the IPC5000, installation for the IPC5600 requires placement within 10 meters. The display includes pressure-sensitive keys for system control and does not feature a touchscreen. Constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminum anodized material, the unit weighs approximately 3.7 kg and offers a secure mount with six screws. The package also includes an FDP connection cable and additional cabling for panelware modules.
