5P62:0TBDEPX-01
The 5P62:0TBDEPX-01 industrial PC is produced by B&R Automation within the 5PC Industrial Automation Units series. Designed as an integrated machine controller, it hosts application code, manages fieldbus traffic, and drives local visualization through its panel interface. By combining computing power with deterministic I/O management, the unit streamlines cabinet layouts in packaging lines, assembly cells, and process skids where a compact, fanless computer supervises motion sequences, safety logic, and HMI graphics.
Electrical power is supplied at 24 VDC, allowing direct connection to standard control cabinet supplies. Heat is removed through a passive heat sink, and a fan can be added for higher ambient temperatures, although it is not required under nominal load. Two independent network adapters deliver up to 100 Mbit/s each, and the data lines exit the housing through 2 RJ45 10/100 ports so plant and service networks can be kept separate. Local program storage or recipe handling is supported by one Type I CompactFlash slot, while an AC97 audio codec provides microphone, line-in, and line-out signals for operator prompts. Startup routines are handled by a standard BIOS bootloader, and a combined PS/2 connector supports keyboard and mouse input during initial setup.
Removable media and service devices attach through 2 USB 2.0 Type A ports, and each outlet can source up to 500 mA per port for scanners or memory sticks. A power-loss circuit keeps volatile data valid for 10 ms, and real-time clock functions are backed by a user-replaceable Renata 950 mAh battery accessible from the front panel. Field wiring flexibility is increased by one add-on interface slot and one PCI expansion slot. Two 9-pin RS-232 serial ports remain available for legacy drives, and visual output is carried over a DVI-I connector.
