The B&R Automation 5PP320.0571-29, part of the 5PP Series, is a highly capable industrial controller designed for demanding automation tasks. Powered by a 500 MHz Geode LX800 processor, this 32-bit x86 processor supports MMX technology and streaming SIMD extensions to boost complex calculations, complemented by 128K L1 and L2 cache. It features 256 MB DDR SDRAM for efficient multitasking and integrates 2 MB flash memory for firmware updates. Despite not needing active cooling, an external heat sink is used. The built-in graphics controller offers an 8 MB shared memory and supports a 5.7-inch color TFT LCD with 320x240 QVGA resolution and touch screen interface. Operating on 18-30 VDC, it includes an Intel 82551ER Ethernet controller for 10/100 Mbps connections and a real-time clock with battery backup to maintain time during power outages.
