The 7CP472.60-1 CPU module, produced by B & R Automation for the 2003 system, is engineered for robust performance in advanced automation applications. It is powered by a 24 VDC supply, consuming 11 W, and offers significant memory with 100 KB SRAM and 256 KB FlashPROM. Positioned on the left of the module rack, it features status LEDs, an RS232 interface for programming, communication, and peripheral connections, and an isolated CAN interface. It has four slots for screw-in modules, supporting digital and analog I/O like 24 VDC or 120/230 VAC, and inputs such as thermocouples and PT100 sensors. The module supports connectivity through a standard field bus interface and can expand I/O using B&R 2003 components and a CAN controller. It accommodates connections for high-speed encoders, and its installation is secure. The 7CP472.60-1 is CE and UL certified, providing reliable CPU control for complex automation systems.
