The B&R Automation 8LSA84.S1030D000-0 is a high performance three-phase synchronous motor, designed for industrial operations. This compact, lightweight motor has an optimal power density, making it simple to service and easy to install. Its features include an accurate multi-turn optical encoder storing relevant mechanical and electrical motor data, allowing for automatic motor identification and parameter settings. The encoder also tracks absolute, indirect position within 4,096 mechanical rotations. The motor, designed to be anchored via its flange, can produce a nominal torque of 48.4Nm and a maximum torque of 204Nm. Its nominal and maximum speeds are 3,000 and 3,600 RPM respectively, with a rotor inertia of 114 kgcm2. The shaft end is designed according to DIN 748 standards for a backlash-free, force-fit shaft-hub connection, offering high running smoothness. The exterior is coated with an eco-friendly water-based varnish for added protection. With lubricated grooved ball bearings sealed on either side, a swiveled connector for separate connections of encoder and power cables, and optimized torque rippling, this motor ensures excellent controllability.
