The AKM22E-ESCNR-02, crafted by Kollmorgen, is a synchronous servo motor under the AKM series. This brushless DC motor operates using controlled torque or speed, making it advantageous in industries that require positioning control, such as the machine tools and packaging sectors. Powered by SERVOSTAR series servo amplifiers, the combined system creates a closed loop for torque or speed control. The motor features a unique shaft, a 58 mm flange size and IP65 protection. Its connector utilizes a 0.5 metre shielded cable without an integrated holding brake. It's important to maintain at least 20 cm separation between the power and control cables to prevent electromagnetic interference. The motor can operate at speeds ranging between 1,000 and 8,000 RPM with a maximum torque delivery of 2.76 Nm. Its rotor's moment of inertia is 0.16 J, and it can handle up to 60 N axial load when running at 5000 RPM.
