The AKM31S-ASMN1-02 is an industrially-optimized brushless DC servomotor by Kollmorgen. It is crafted to deliver unparalleled performance across numerous industrial applications. While the unique shaft can't be directly connected to main power lines, it features a 0.5m shielded cable with IP20 connectors. The servomotor also includes a Comcoder feedback device with 1024 PPR. Its 70mm flange size and rotor length of 1 are coupled with a S-winding type. The housing of the motor must be securely earthed for electrical safety as the motor cannot perform safely without a low-resistance earth connection. Note that it does not include a holding brake. It employs neodymium-iron-boron magnets in the rotor for dynamic driving. Continuous operation should be stopped every 2,500 hours for bearing noise checking. Cleaning must occur externally strictly using isopropanol, avoiding any immersion or spraying of the motor.
