The AKM41E-EKC2R-00, produced by Kollmorgen, is a brushless DC motor specifically crafted for servo applications. This motor operates most effectively when combined with digital servo amplifiers which makes it ideal for positioning tasks in industrial machinery such as machine tools, transfer lines, and robotics. The AKM41E-EKC2R-00 transmits power through its cylindrical shaft end A, and its connection requires the k6(AKM1:7) fitting to conform to DIN 748, utilizing a non-keyway fitted locking thread. Built for high-radial force applications, it has an electrically isolated PTC, rated at 155 degrees C, but it requires caution as it does not provide protection against short or heavy overloading. An optional holding brake is available, which immobilizes the rotor when de-energised. The AKM41E-EKC2R-00 requires professional maintenance and comes with ball bearings pre-packed with grease, sufficient for 20,000 hours of operation under normal conditions.
