The Kollmorgen AKM42E-BKMN2-00 is a synchronous servomotor designed for industrial drive systems and must be used in conjunction with a SERVOSTAR servo amplifier. Professional electrical and mechanical engineering expertise is required for its assembly, setup, and operation, strictly adhering to the provided documentation. The motor must be earthed correctly and is unsuitable for environments with caustic or conductive substances. Proper ventilation is essential as the unit lacks an integrated cooling fan and operates at high temperatures. Installation must ensure the motor remains dry, especially in IM V3 mounting configurations, and insulation clearances must be maintained. Handling should occur within a temperature range of -25°C to 70°C. The servomotor requires manufacturer's UL-Listed cables capable of 1 million bending cycles for connection and should be installed in a de-energized switch cabinet. The motor will not function unless the servo amplifier is enabled.
