The Kollmorgen AKM43E-ANCNR-00 is a synchronous servomotor with E type winding, recognized by its housing nameplate secured with adhesive. The motor, with a smooth, brakeless, two-pole hollow-shaft resolver experiences high radial force when used with toothed belts or pinions. Unfitted with a sealing around its output shaft, it requires protection against cleaning agents on its flange and unrestricted ventilation during operation. Only those trained in electrical engineering should handle wiring to prevent severe injury from exposed contacts. An essential element of safe operation is the implementation of EMC shielding as indicated in the amplifier's manual. If the motor cable extends beyond 25m, a motor choke is required. The motor, which can reach up to 900V during operation, must be tested for free rotor revolution and proper drive element fitting, and monitored for rapid temperature rises when loaded with peak current.
