The AKM44S-SSC2R, crafted by Kollmorgen, is a synchronous servomotor developed for machinery such as industrial robots, machine tools, packaging and textile machinery that necessitate high stability and dynamics. Operating under control from a matching servo amplifier from Kollmorgen, for speed and/or torque, it incorporates S type wiring and a thermal contact within the motor windings. An integral feature of the motor is its permanent magnets, made of neodymium-iron-boron, key for dynamic operation. Housed in the stator is a three-phase winding, driven by the servo amplifier. The motor is fitted with a Resolver for feedback and contains angular connectors for power and feedback signals. The servo motor includes a 24V holding brake, exclusively as standstill brake, with a potential to move the rotor without remnant torque upon release. Adding a holding brake increases motor length. As with transportation and assembly, only trained personnel should handle the motor to avoid misalignment or damage.
