The AX2090-BW51-3000 braking resistor from Beckhoff’s AX Digital Servo Drives series features a 3 kW rating and is compatible with AX5118, AX5125, AX5140, and AX5021 units. It weighs 8 kg, provides 23.4 Ω resistance, holds 705 µF buffer capacitance, and delivers up to 6 kW continuous power with the AX5021. Dimensions are 355×255×490 mm and it mounts outside the control cabinet to avoid temperature spikes. An EtherCAT interface supports diagnostics and parameterization when regenerative energy exceeds the threshold.
