The B-404-C-21 is a high-efficiency servo motor created by Kollmorgen, known for their reliable automation equipment. Despite its compact size, this motor offers a significant amount of torque due to an impressive torque-to-volume ratio. Its low inertia rotor enables rapid acceleration, making it ideal for dynamic industrial environments. The motor features electromagnetic fail-safe brakes for emergency stop and static parking with an 8Nm holding torque capability. It can deliver a 7.4 Nm continuous torque with a peak current of 18.8 A. The B-404-C-21 is designed with an IP 65-rated enclosure for protection against oily liquids, water jets, and non-corrosive materials. It can also be upgraded to IP 67 standard for underwater operation. The motor's class H insulated armature can withstand temperatures as high as 180 degrees Celsius. Lastly, the motor is compatible with front-mounted gearheads and NEMA mountings.
