The Kollmorgen manufactured B8962 NP-LMTR is a dual-axis smart servo drive, primarily developed for use with IDC's linear motors. Although it comes without a front panel, one can be acquired separately if needed. This drive also offers optional accessories like regenerative power dissipation modules for 115/230V AC, as well as a thumbwheel input module. This smart servo drive is a blend of a servo amplifier and machine controller, using DSP technology for closed loop control on a variety of permanent magnet and brushless servo motors and actuators. It supports a vector control algorithm for high bandwidth velocity and torque control, that can be programmed via keypad or PC. For PC programming, it uses a serial interface terminating on the RS-232 serial interface. The included items with B8962 NP-LMTR are AC power cable, development software, and the smart drive itself. It can handle three-phase 90 to 240V AC input, with a 10 Amps maximum current and a continuous one of 5 Amps. It functions optimally up to 55 degrees Celsius with a relative humidity range of 0 to 90%.
