The Copley Controls BPL-090-14 drive is part of the Accelnet CanOPEN Modules series, designed for precise motion control in industrial automation systems. This compact module supports a continuous current of 7 A and accepts a supply voltage range of 14 to 90 VDC for versatile power integration. With a 12-bit resolution, the BPL-090-14 ensures high-accuracy position, speed, and torque control. Its primary function is to translate CANopen DS-402 commands into reliable motor drive output for demanding applications.

Featuring a peak current of 14 A DC (9.9 A RMS) ", the BPL-090-14 excels in handling transient loads with ease. The drive offers multiple feedback options including incremental encoders, Hall sensors, and resolver support for seamless integration with various motor types. Safety is enhanced by the Safe Torque Off (STO) function rated to SIL 3, Category 3, PL d, while built-in protection guards against short circuits, over-temperature, and feedback loss. Configuration is streamlined via the RS-232 interface and CME 2TM software.

Built to operate from 0 to +45 °C and to survive storage conditions from °C, this module delivers robust performance under varied environmental conditions. Its small footprint—5.08 x 3.41 x 3.39 in with heatsink or 5.08 x 3.41 x 1.99 in without—optimizes panel space while the lightweight design (0.77 kg with heatsink) simplifies installation.
