Reassembly is restricted to 20 instances to avoid damage, and the unit operates on a 24V DC power supply, with the base unit requiring 9 watts of power. The device allows for up to 5 modules and includes a safety module with application-related safety functions, necessitating an encoder module in slots 1, 2 or 4. Further including an encoder HSF/RSF module in slots 1 and 2, EnDat 2.1 module in slot 3, an open slot 4, it supports master communication via SERCOS and is configurable with standard control panels. Firmware must be procured separately.
