The CX1020-0100 from Beckhoff features an Intel Celeron M ULV 1 GHz processor and a 128 MB Compact Flash slot with eject mechanism. As part of the CX Embedded PC Systems, it offers 256 MB DDR RAM expandable to 1 GB and two RJ45 10/100 Mbit/s network interfaces with an internal switch.

It consumes a maximum of 11 W, utilizes passive cooling with optional active cooling ex-factory, and routes I/O via E-bus, K-bus, or IP-Link through a power supply module. The unit supports TwinCAT 2 PLC, NC PTP, and NC I runtimes and ships without a preinstalled operating system.
