The Beckhoff CX8051 is a member of the CX80xx Embedded PC product line designed for DIN rail installation within a control cabinet. This device facilitates the transition of analog and digital signals from sensors to actuators via Bus Terminals. Used as slave devices for superior Fieldbus systems or for PLC program processes, the CX8051 requires operation by trained control and automation engineers. Programming and commissioning is done through an Ethernet interface, ensuring data preservation post-system shutdown. It is equipped with numerous components including a 400MHz, 32-bit processor, 512MB MicroSD, 64MB RAM, Ethernet and Fieldbus interfaces, a K/E-bus interface and most notably, a CANopen slave interface with automated baud rate identification. It features a web-based management system, diagnostic LEDs, and has a maximum power loss of 3W. This device functions optimally between 0-55°C, can withstand storage temperatures of -25 to 85°C, and functions at a relative humidity of up to 95%. Lastly, the CX8051 interfaces include a USB device, an Ethernet with an RJ45 connector, and an RS485 CAN interface.
