The CX8080 is a rugged, programmable Embedded PC created by Beckhoff, designed for easy installation on a DIN rail within a control cabinet or terminal box. Equipped with an RS232/RS485 interface, this device excels in protection category IP 20 rated environments but isn't suited for wet, dusty conditions or exposure to strong vibrations. Its programming and commissioning are carried out via an Ethernet interface, running on a control program supported by Microsoft Windows CE, while its PLC functionality and system configuration are guided by TwinCAT software. The CX8080 hosts a MicroSD Flash card storing the necessary software to streamline servicing and features a variety of interfaces including K/E-bus, fieldbus, and Ethernet. Other specifications include a 64MB RAM, web-based management, support for IEC 61131-3 programming languages, TwinCAT PLC runtime control software, and a maximum power loss of 3.0W. The CX8080 weighs about 180g and offers a dielectric strength of 500V.
