The CX8095, produced by industry leader Beckhoff, is an embedded PC with an Ethernet/IP interface designed for daisy-chain cabling, utilizing a 2-port switch layout. Connectivity includes two Ethernet interfaces and options for K/E-bus terminals, the latter type recognized upon startup. Programming can be implemented through the TwinCAT runtime environment by way of the fieldbus interface. Running on an ARM9 400MHz 32-bit processor and powered by the Microsoft Windows CE operating system, the CX8095 uses IEC 61131-3 languages, permits online changes and uploads/downloads code, and supports TCP/IP, UDP/IP, EtherNet/IP, ADS, and Modbus TCP protocols. Rated at a 2A max power supply for I/O terminals, a 10A max load for power contacts, and a 24 VDC power supply, it complies with EN 60068-2-27 shock resistance and EN 61000-6-4 EMC emission. It should be operated in a control cabinet rated at IP 54 minimum, due to the unit's IP 20 protection category.
