The CX9000-1001 from Beckhoff features a 266 MHz Intel IXP420 processor with XScale technology and 64 MB of RAM. Part of the CX Embedded PC Systems, it runs Microsoft Windows CE 5 and includes TwinCAT 2 CE PLC runtime. It offers 16 MB of internal flash memory expandable to 32 MB and two RJ45 Ethernet ports.

Measuring 59 mm x 100 mm x 91 mm, it weighs 250 g and requires a 24 V DC power supply. Diagnostic LEDs indicate power, LAN and flash access status. It supports K-bus bus terminals and delivers a maximum power loss of 6 W.
