The DDS02.1-A100-DS30-01, manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat, is a drive controller of the second generation that is ideal for various machinery including machine tools, textile, printing, packaging, robotics, and handling machines. Its design allows it to join with AC servo and main drives to create a compact drive package that operates with a single power supply. The device employs a DSS SERCOS interface and consists of five slots for optional modules, making it customizable for different tasks. The controller has a maximum current capacity of 100 A, a power dissipation value of 97 Watts, and a Bus voltage of DC 300 V. It also has the ability to expel most of its heat externally, which makes it suitable for compact cabinet housing without overheating concerns. The firmware, which must be bought separately, controls the device’s operation. Only qualified personnel should handle the unit and it should not be operated near high-frequency, remote-control, and radio-frequency equipment.
