The DDS02.1-W050-DS27-01, made by Bosch Rexroth Indramat, is a modular digital drive controller with customizable firmware. Consisting of a basic unit, software module, and command communication module, the controller provides additional support for optional plug-in modules. The firmware, required to be purchased separately, offers various feature sets designed for specific applications. The controller's output is 50 Amps and accommodates integrated digital servo feedback. Cooling is accomplished via natural convection within a sizable cabinet that may need air conditioning in certain circumstances. This system operates best in environments between 0-45 degrees Celsius and between 0-1000 meters in elevation. With derating, it can function up to 55 degrees Celsius and 5000 meters. The DC bus on the controller has a nominal voltage of 300 Volts DC within ±15% tolerance. It comes equipped with a configuration rating plate and weighs approximately 7.5 kilograms.
