The DDS02.2-W050-BE14-01-FW, manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat, is an integral component of the modular DDS drive system. This system, designed with flexibility in mind, combines AC servo and main drives into a compact drive package, powered by a single supply unit. Applicable to a multitude of industries – from textiles and printing to robotics – this drive controller offers rapid response execution alongside AC motors, also by Bosch Rexroth. Connection to all Indramat supply units with a regulated DC 24 V voltage is feasible and its connections cover a range of 5V to 30V, structured under a protective low voltage network. Communication is managed over the SERCOS interface, which leverages fiber optic cables, and offers inputs for assessing reference switches, travel limit switches and sensor inputs. Though the device needs separately-bought firmware to function, the method ensures easy replication of previously purchased versions. The unit's cooling relies on heat technology housed inside a control cabinet, operating up to a 40°C ambient temperature, a 95% relative humidity, and at a maximum installation height of 1000 m above sea level.
