The DDS02.2-W050-BE85-01-FW, developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat, is a compact and highly versatile DDS drive controller. This unit is designed to work seamlessly with Bosch Rexroth AC motors from the MDD, MKD, LAR, and MBW series to produce rapid-response drives. This controller comprises a core unit, a plug-in module, a software module, and firmware, all powered by a single supply unit. The controller's SERCOS module enables communication with other control units. Heat technology is implemented to dissipate internal heat, necessitating a large, air-conditioned control cabinet. The controller is designed for mounting in a control cabinet, meeting IP 10 protection category standards. This implies protection against penetration by objects with diameters over 50mm, but not against water penetration or intentional hand access. The controller, weighing approximately 7.5kg, is linked via a shielded motor power cable to the AC motor.
