Despite a small price-premium over similar torque gearboxes or motors, the overall cost reduces by eliminating the need for additional mechanical transmission servo system components. Uniquely, the inertias of the motor and load in the DH081M-12-1310 are common, removing the need for inertia matching typically essential in mechanical transmission systems. This advantage permits system operation with inertia ratios over 11,000:1, eliminating the requirement for larger motors to meet inertia matching constraints.
